• Home Again!

  well, i'm back from pelkie now, on virginia soil once more! everyone asks me if it's good to be home. like duh, of course! i stepped into our house and felt like i was walking into a palace. best of all is being with family again. yacking with mom. hearing my brothers sing. east or west, home is best . . . i can say the same of north or south!

  i've really enjoyed being with the youth group again too. soon after i returned the "oldies" group (25+) had a little gathering. a few of us went to tour a place where they grow bug-eating plants for wholesale. (*boring*) what was fun was the croquet and pizza afterwards. a few more oldies joined us until we were a grand total of six. we made memories sitting around a campfire and talking until after 11:00.

  then we had a youth carwash on saturday, racking in over a thousand dollars for our fundraiser. yesterday we had a memorial day picnic, which was truly memorial in that we played ball in the rain! not pouring, dashing, pounding rain. it just drizzled on us now and then, creating slick grass and a few wipe-outs. we all resembled drowned rats. when it started to get dark, we did volleyball!

  i miss the UP very much though, and think about my dear friends up there a lot. i've had so many headaches here, the Yoopers think it's because of the poluted air down here! well, may headaches cease and cheers to Va life!
